Two Parties In One
How do you create an intimate wedding for 250 people? For Talia and Ed, it meant creating two separate parties: an intimate ceremony and luncheon for 60 guests, and later, an energetic evening cocktail party for 250—all at The Ballroom in Bethesda, MD. For lunch, Ridgewells served Roasted Acorn Soup, Butter Poached Sirloin with Truffled Bordelaise Sauce and a Raspberry Chantilly wedding cake. After lunch, while the wedding party was taking photographs, the staff transformed the room into a swanky lounge for the evening reception. The cocktail menu included savory bites like Beef Short Ribs, Cranberry Glazed Chicken Breast and Grilled Veggie Tarts. Sweet delicacies included Petit Whoopie Pies and Homemade Chocolate Candies. Not only did the couple’s dog, Zoe, take part in the wedding ceremony, pre-packaged treats were given out at night, on her behalf, to guests’ pooches to enjoy at home.
