Culinary Administrative Assistant
Ridgewells Catering is seeking a Culinary administrative assistant to provide a full range of administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the food production and purchasing departments. The assistant will be responsible for all the required paperwork, including forms, reports, and schedules; and will prepare them in an organized and timely manner. Will prepare, assemble and distribute various reports and documents. Will establish and maintain the record filing and database of purchasing contacts, will trace pending items and will follow up as appropriate. The candidate must be detail oriented, be a team player and have the ability to work independently. Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment, be proficient in Microsoft Office, have strong communication and customer relations skills, and have experience with standard office equipment and procedures. Having knowledge and a passion for food is ideal for this position.

Ridgewells the premier cater in the Washington, DC area is seeking a Prep Cook to join our food production team. Candidates must have experience with all cold food production including; salads, vinaigrettes, cold sauces, soups, charcuterie, hors d’oeuvres, fruits, etc. Must have the ability to read and execute recipes written in English, understands and practices proper time and temperature controls as defined under county, state and federal guidelines, and must have good knife skills. Candidate must have at least 3 years’ of catering/hotel experience with all cold food production. Must have the ability to work as a team member in a high volume environment and practice good communication skills. Servsafe certification is preferred. Candidate must complete a 1-2 day stage in order to be considered for this position.

Training and Recruiting Manager
Ridgewells Catering is seeking to hire a Training and Recruiting Manager for its staffing company Purple Tie by Ridgewells. Candidate will be responsible for recruiting and selecting applicants for all available service staff positions. Duties include recruitment through traditional print advertising, electronic promotions and recruitment events; prescreening applicants; forecasting staffing needs based on event outlook; developing training schedules; and coordinating training programs. Requirements for this position include: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field; at least three to five years’ experience in recruiting, hiring and operations in the hospitality field; must be able to travel for lengthy periods of time to various locations throughout the year; strong verbal and written communication skills; the ability to speak effectively before groups of staff; and strong interpersonal relations.

Operations Manager, Major Events
Ridgewells Catering seeks a highly motivated and experienced professional in the world of major sporting events to join the Major Events team as Operations Manager. The Operations Manager will assist the General Manager in the day to day planning and execution of all catering functions for assigned major sports event accounts, and in the development of a new concessions concept.
A successful candidate will have proven experience in high volume, fast-paced environments on multifaceted projects with the ability to adapt to change and think outside of the box. Additional priority traits include excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong organizational skills with an attention to detail; ability to work independently, but also collaborate as part of a team; effective leadership and management skills; and an interest in food.
• 4+ years of major event operations experience; experience in the sports industry, specifically in the golf space, is preferred
• 2+ years of experience in event concessions
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality and Event Management, or related field
• Some travel, including up to 25 consecutive days from Memorial Day through June

Ridgewells Catering is seeking an Event Designer to become a member of its’ Sales Team. Responsibilities will include planning and designing corporate and social events, presenting proposals and contracts that respond to the customer’s interest and budget and managing assigned and solicited accounts to achieve a monthly sales budget. Other duties include responding to client inquiries, providing customer service that is responsive, knowledgeable and courteous, entering sales and event information into event software, scheduling and attending site-visits, and acting as liaison between the customer and various departments to ensure that orders and event contracts are fulfilled. Must have experience in sales and catering. Applicant should have effective communications skills, a pleasant and helpful personality, and knowledge of food, equipment and event management.
