JUNIOR PASTRY SOUS CHEF – RIDGEWELLS

POSITION SUMMARY

The Junior Pastry Sous Chef will assist in the development, craft and confection of desserts. He/she will assist the Executive Pastry Chef and Pastry Sous Chef in the creation of seasonal menus and the development of new recipes with the pastry section of our kitchen. Incumbent should be passionate about baking and be inspired to create masterpieces that go beyond our customers expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Supports Executive Pastry Chef and Pastry Sous Chef in the daily operations of the bakery.
  • Creates pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe.
  • Inspects all bakery items upon completion to ensure they have been prepared correctly and attractively.
  • Ensures that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with culinary receiving policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection.
  • Assists the Executive Pastry Chef and Pastry Sous Chef with completing – end of month pastry kitchen inventory.
  • Communicates any issues, concerns, or updates with Executive Chefs and Sous Chefs.
  • Performs other duties associated with the position that are reasonably assigned to support the overall needs of the business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate Degree in Baking and Pastry Arts and/or course certification from an accredited Culinary Institute is preferred.
  • 1 to 2+ years experience in a high-volume/fine dining/Banquet/Pastry production kitchen is desired
  • Computer experience with Excel and Microsoft software programs are helpful.
  • Must be able to communicate, read, write, and speak English effectively. Bi-lingual skills are desired but not required.
  • Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume will be helpful.
  • Must be punctual, reliable, with a positive work ethic.
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, proactive and with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to plan time effectively are required
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload in a deadline-driven, demanding environment.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision is needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment, work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining highest quality is required.

BAKERY ASSISTANT – RIDGEWELLS

POSITION SUMMARY

The Bakery Helper assists in the daily operations of the bakery department and and ensures all products are prepared in accordance with company standards. As an individual who has experience working at a bakery (or similar), this position may also have some exposure to other food service industry professionals such as bakers, chefs, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Assists in production of cakes, muffins, cookies, breads, and other baked goods & pastries.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by Pastry Chefs.

  • Packages and wraps finished items for events and pick up orders.

  • Prepares garnishes as needed for baked goods.

  • Maintains cleanliness standards throughout the bakery including but not limited to cleaning countertops, shelves, ovens, freezers; dusting & mopping floors.

  • Scrapes and cleans baking sheets.

  • Arranges baked products on display trays events.

  • Tracks ingredient expiration dates and arranges their use accordingly.

  • Reports low baked goods stock to the Executive Pastry Chef in a timely manner.

  • Measures or weighs flour or other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs, fillings, or whipped cream using scales or measuring cups.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

  • Good communication & organizational skills are a must.

  • Ability to perform basic math functions to read and follow a recipes is required.

  • Cake decorating skills a plus.

  • This position requires frequent walking, standing, sitting and reaching.

  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

  • Must have the ability and willingness (or desire) to work in all types of weather conditions, including heat or cold.

SALES COORDINATOR – RIDGEWELLS

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Coordinator is responsible for providing support to the sales team and customers during the sales process. He/she will help customers resolve sales-related issues in a timely manner, generally providing real-time support. He/she is expected to resolve and distribute all inquiries from the clients to the sales team and ensure customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provides clerical support answering phones, filing, printing & copying.
  • Manages the distribution of inquiries to the Sales team efficiently.
  • Handles all will-calls and delivery orders with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinates with the sales team by managing schedules, filing important documents and communicating relevant information.
  • Assists the Director of Sales with weekly reporting and Team emails.
  • Enhances client relationships, be a brand ambassador for Ridgewells.

LOGISTICS – HAUTE CATERING

POSITION SUMMARY

The Logistics incumbent will be responsible for operations of events that involves planning, controlling and managing transfer and storage of equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES Other responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Performs daily walk-throughs at the conference center rooms upon arrival.
  • Reviews logistics reports for conference rooms on all floors.
  • Determines all related logistics for room set-ups (i,e,. room style, tables, flip charts, flags, registration table, etc).

  • Distributes signs provided by conference center.
